This is the ultimate guide on Kels and Jay for 2024.

Over the last few years, I have watched almost 20 hours of YouTube videos created by Kels and Jay. They have truly inspired me!

If you’re curious about:

👉 How insert creator afforded their van

👉 How they make their money today (including YouTube income stats)

👉 Where they have traveled to

👉 What issues and controversies they have handled

👉 How you can live van life within the next 90 days

Then you’ve definitely come to the right website.

Before we begin, a quick intro from the Van Life Freedom author…

The Van Life Freedom Author

Hello there fellow van life enthusiast. I’m Joshua.

I’ve discovered the ultimate business model for remote workers.

With this business model, I’m able to:

👉 Own my own van completely debt-free

👉 Survive for several days without wifi

👉 Create semi-passive income online

👉 Run my business from any parking lot

But hey, let’s talk about that later. Back to insert creator…

Kels and Jay FAQs (March 2024)

Van Name

Their van doesn’t have a name yet

Creators

Kelsey from the United States

Jamie who is from England

Kelsey and Jamie are keeping their last names confidential for privacy reasons. What I can confirm is that Kels met Jay while she was studying her master’s degree in England and later, they traveled through Europe together, before both moved to Connecticut in the United States.

Scandal

The cheating scandal had nothing to do with Kels and Jay. Instead, it was Number Juan Bus, where Kristin’s husband had been cheating on her. She had a divorce party with photos at @beachykefer on Instagram.

The Van

They have a Ford Transit van. Prior to this, they had a 2001 Thomas Freightliner schoolie.

Affording It

Neither Kels nor Jamie had much money, so for them, there was a lot of ‘sweat equity’ involved with both their van life builds.

Making Money

So how do they make money? Well, it’s simple…

👉 They allow YouTube to put ads on their channel

👉 They run their own Patreon account

👉 They sell their time in the form of consulting calls

👉 They use affiliate links to products

👉 They also sell their own van build guide

With this in mind, I estimate Kels and Jay are making $4,000 to $7,000 per month with their van life YouTube channel.

Collabs

I haven’t seen them collab with other van life creators, apart from Regretlyss1.

Location

United States

Past Travels

Europe, England

Big Moments

They tend to use a ton of clickbait drama in their thumbnails to drive views and engagement. From quitting van life to uncovering scandals, they have certainly figured out which levers to pull!

Future Plans

They’re back on the road and are building vans in people’s driveways. Just epic!

Key Lessons

What can we learn?

👉 You don’t need an expensive van

👉 Learn how to do as much of the work yourself

👉 Stay humble as hard work pays off

👉 You can learn everything on YouTube. Everything!

And of course, find a badass partner to join you on the journey, just as Kels has done.

Conclusion

I have learned a ton from their earlier videos and conversions (the Airstream was the wildest) and I’m eager to see where they wind up over the coming years!
